Ma gurl, happy birthday.
Today is her 7th birthday. Things were bad when she was born. Domestically bad. Hospital bad. Police/jail bad. Scary bad. Bad in ways I don’t even want to talk about, ever again. It stayed bad for a short while until I was able to walk again and her brother was born. Then, the clouds parted and there was sun. Sunshine like the kind that fills your soul, sun.
