I know it’s orange. Just deal with it.

I recently had a brief conversation with a fellow tumblr-er about attention whoring. Now, I may have harsh words sometimes on the Twitter (and here) but really, what you do in your free time is none of my business as long as it doesn’t directly effect me negatively. Is randomly posting a photo of yourself considered attention whoring and if not, why not? Personally, I consider anyone who is constantly posting photos of themselves as an attention whore but I also consider that to be true for someone with constantly outspoken essays about how tough they are for having such strong morals while having done nothing but live hypocritically for most of their life. Now, I’m not saying I’m not attention whoring right this minute by writing this and the whole photo thing. The point I’m trying to make here is that anything you post, whether personal or not, is an act of attention whoring. I mean, that’s why we’re all here, isn’t it? For attention? To be recognized and validated and enjoyed and on display. A digital stage, we all want to be in the spotlight and feel special.

So, I take back any comments I may have had against attention whores because y’all are my attention whores and I love you for it. Each and every one of you.

I recognize, as I’m sure you do too, that there is a difference in class of attention whores. I’ll just leave it at the fact that some have it and some don’t. That’s all I have to say about that.

Ps. Don’t you just want to slap that smirk off my face? I totally do too, it’s okay.
